Guardians of Teltoc… March 2018

The Challenge event for March was Guardians of Teltoc. Here is a summary of the results of this challenge event. As with the other posts on Challenge Events, the goal is to help other intermediate players, like myself, understand what heroes actually win… while there are many resources out there that talk about what heroes to level up, these are the heroes that the top players use to win.

For the Guardians challenge event, Some of the enemies Reflected the Yellow tiles which then damaged the yellow heroes on your team. Others reflect different colors (e.g. Pirates, Purple; Knight, blue). Note that the scores for this event were lower than pirates (I think that is because it took Wu Kong's Gamblers Stance out of the picture).

Why Complete Challenge Events

Completing the challenge events is a good way for a intermediate player to get ascension materials. Completion of the 10 levels in the each tier of the Guardians of Teltoc challenge event gave the user a special bonus. Completing these gives you (in addition to other goodies which I did not find interesting enough to record):

Beginner - Nothing worth mentioning (actually i didn't record it).

Intermediate - Orb of Magic, Epic Troop Token, and a Compass

Advanced - Epic Hero Token, Warm Cape, Hidden Blade, and an Orb of Magic.

Players who place in the top 10 of these levels get very good loot. But I imaging that finishing in the top 10 is beyond the grasp of anyone who would be reading this blog for advice.

Yes, it may take a few trials to complete the higher levels and you may have to use battle items and even pay 75 gems to continue, but there are five (5) three star ascension items there. Your 4 and 5 Star heroes clog card space without these items.

Beginner Rankings

The following are a selection of the top ranked teams scores and the heroes that were shown at the end of the event.

To me, this is the hardest event to complete. I paid for a few of the 10x draws and thus started my Rainbow hero team with 4*/5* heroes. So I don't have any leveled up 3* heroes. Also, the rewards for completing this event are not super good.

Intermediate Rankings

The following are a selection of the top ranked teams scores and the heroes that were shown at the end of the event.

Note 1: Player took his/her team down, so we couldn’t see it.

This is the first level where completion yields good ascension items. I completed this level with a set of 4* heroes that were only partially leveled up (e.g. stuck at the third chevron like Grimm below). After all, I am doing this to "Un-Stuck" Grimm.

Congrats to Pandemic Disease for Finishing 2nd in the intermediate tier... you can read his advice elsewhere on this blog.

Advanced Rankings

The following are a selection of the top ranked teams scores and the heroes that were shown at the end of the event.

Note 1: Player took his/her team down, so we couldn’t see it.

Completion of the all the advanced difficulty levels yields a lot of good ascension items. I completed this level with a set of 4* / 5* heroes that were only partially leveled up, but I used battle items and paid 75 gems to continue one.

Heroes (Max Leveled Value)

The following are the heroes that were the bosses as well as the heroes that are available for summoning.

AR is Anchor’s Rating (Titan Team) / (Offense Team) / (Raid Defense Team) / Overall

Hope this summary helps. I plan on updating these as the challenge events progress.
